The Company
The Torrington Company, a division of Ingersoll-Rand, supplies OEM bearing components to the automotive industry. Kim Kauer, the division safety engineering manager, used ReadyGo Web Course Builder (WCB) to create more than 20 OSHA-required training courses in just under three months. The courses range from basic employee safety to safety procedures for equipment operation.
The Challenge
In the past, Kauer relied on PowerPoint presentations or else hired consultants for each of the company's 16 locations. Consultants were an expensive option, and developing tailored PowerPoint presentations was labor-intensive and seldom met the needs of EVERY safety program.
