Bee keepers should always wear a bee suit or white pants and a white long sleeve, closed top shirt, that attaches to your bee hat and veil

Dark colored clothing causes bees to be more defensive. Avoid wearing two different colors. Bees
need contrasting colors to see; they tend to ignore
monochrome colors.

- The once piece built in hooded veil (shown on the right)
The built in hooded veil is easier to put on and cooler in the summer to wear.
- You can also make your own bee suite (shown on the left). Be very careful making your own suite since bees are very good at finding an open space and stinging the wearer.
- Don't forget to wear gloves.
- Most pictures of beekeepers show exposed hands
- Bees may sting your hands if they are exposed.
It's True! Many beekeepers don't wear gloves because they belive that exposed hands make them work more carefully. These beekeepers don't mind getting stung occasionally.
