Hive Entrance
A hive entrance is the space at the bottom of the hive, through which the bees enter and leave.
There is a small, around ½ inch, ledge that the brood box sits on.
Typically the bottom of the entrance is made from a screen so that mites and dirt can fall through the bottom of the hive.
