3.2 Parts of a Hive
  1. There are five basic components to a hive.
  2. From bottom to top the components are
    1. The bottom board/entrance this is where the bees enter and leave
    2. Super the box that holds frames
    3. Frames where bees build honeycomb they fill with honey or brood
    4. Queen excluder a screen which has cells big enough for worker bees to move through but too small for the queen to move through.
      1. A queen excluder is used between the brood box(es) and the honey boxes
      2. It keeps brood (eggs) out of the honeycomb.
    5. Hive cover, top of the hive.
