3.6 Intersection between the system curve and fan curve
Now if you put the system curve and the fan curve together into a coordinate system, there is an intersection.

An intersection of a system curve with a fan curve is operating point or operating called .
The operating point also shows the actual flow through the system. It is at this point, the fan creates a pressure increase that compensates for the pressure loss in the system.
An attempt is made by a vote of conditioning and fan, to put the operating point as close as possible to the point of maximum efficiency of the fan curve to keep the energy consumption and noise to a minimum.
