7.6 Why the Limited View?
  1. LMS set a SCO as a page to get around their design limitations.
  1. The majority of LMSs don't capture or report interactions and objectives.
  1. To get granularity of reporting they need to force granularity of content.
  1. Using SCO to counter insufficient design is also found in testing.
    1. Many LMSs that are unable to save test question responses have gotten around this limitations by making each test question a SCO.
    1. Technically, it is easier to implement a single question on a web page, but instructionally this is a poor solution for the learner.
  1. This solution makes it impossible to use the LMS to carry out surveys and assessments.
