Most people are looking for the quickest possible fix for any problem. When the problem is delivering courses on the web, the quickest possible fix is to reuse existing PowerPoint presentations. PowerPoint provides an effective outline for course material but is not an eLearning course.

The question you need to ask is: If you went to a web site that was completely made up of a PowerPoint presentation what would you think of the company? Would you come back to the site? Why? The answer is PowerPoint is a presentation tool. It does not include any best of breed web design characteristics.
