- LTSC = Learning Technology Standards Committee
- IMS = "An organization dedicated to developing specification for distributed learning"
- SCORM = Sharable Content Object Reference Model
SCORM Version 1.2 = AICC + IMS
- ADL = Advanced Distributed Learning initiative started by US White House in 1997 (parent of SCORM)
- XML = eXtensible Markup Language (a superset of HTML)
