2.1 Filtering techniques

Filtering techniques

The Clean Air Solution works with four mechanical mechanisms of filtration and Flicker.

The animation shows schematically how the four mechanical filter methods are used to filter different sizes of particles along with Flicker.

Click through the buttons and refer to the notes.

Sieve effect

The filter works like a sieve, the graph shows that larger particles are retained.

Inertia effect

With the inertia effect large particles are retained, and some smaller particles are caught.

Block Effect

The block effect brings in small particles

Diffusion

Diffusion stops the smallest particles

The four mechanical effects together

Using all four mechanical filter methods helps stop all but the smallest particles -- Those particles that are from 0.1 to 0.4 microns.

The electrostatic effect of flicker

The flicker effects strength lies where the mechanical filter effects do not, capturing very small particles.

The four mechanical effect and flicker

An optimum experience uses all four mechanical effects and flicker
