If the material is complicated, use an interactive element. This helps the student learn by breaking the information into pieces.
- Use a simulation to give the student an opportunity to use the subject you are discussing.
- Use a video to show a student how a complicated task is performed or what it looks like.
Tip If you are training on a computer skill, for example MS Excel, have the student split their screen. Half the screen will be the course, the other can be used to try the new skill.
